VILLAGE HALL AND COMMUNITY CENTER MOLD REMEDIATION TO BEGIN MARCH 1
The Village Hall and Community Center need repairs and rehabilitation. The process began with a slight repair to the roof to keep moisture out until full replacement later this year. The leaks created mold within both buildings. Remediation of all mold is set to begin on March 1. For public health reasons both buildings will be closed to staff and public.
In an effort to minimize Village Hall disruptions the Police Department, Administrative Offices, and Public Meetings will be handled as follows:
Beginning at 9am, March 1st, 2021, the Sharon Police Department will move its operations to the Sharon Fire Department building located at 182 Park Ave, (technically in the Town of Sharon).
Telephone: Non-emergency between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.–same as now-262-736-4617
Emergency and Non-emergency after Hours: 911 or call office so call can roll over to Sheriff’s Dispatch and Office.
The drop box in front of Village Hall will still be available and checked daily. So too the mail.
If placing payments or correspondence in the drop box or through mail, please enclose instructions if receipts or further handling is necessary. The same with any applications for dog licenses, building permits, etc. If you need to make payments immediately, please go to the library between 10 am and 2 pm where staff will be available to assist you.
Please note, however, if making payments in person between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., there will be no dog tags, permits, cash or printers on site. Therefore, correct change is required, tags and permits will be mailed back, with handwritten receipts only.
